Tanzania TV channel - Star TV began broadcasting via Azerbaijani satellite Azerspace / Africasat-1a, reports the Flysat information portal, which publishes satellite frequency tables.
The broadcasts of this TV channel are available in open broadcasting at 4123 MHz (speed: 2380, polarization – V, FEC - 3/4).
Tanzanian radio Afya Radio is also broadcasted via Azerbaijani satellite (frequency 4099 H 2/3).
The total number of television and radio channels broadcasted by Azerbaijani satellite exceeds 100. The satellite is placed in orbit at 46 degrees East longitude.
The launch of the first telecommunications satellite of Azerbaijan Azerspace/Africasat-1a was implemented on February 8, 2013.
The satellite is intended for provision of services of broadcasting, creating multiservice VSAT networks and ensuring government communications. The service area of Azerspace/Africasat-1a includes the countries of Europe, Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa.
