Azerbaijani satellite operator exports services worth $11M

The export volume of services of Azercosmos OJSC, the national satellite operator of Azerbaijan, in January-May 2018 amounted to $11 million, reads the "Export Review", published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan.

Export volume of services of Azercosmos OJSC in May 2018 amounted to $1.6 million, which is 72.6 percent less than in April 2018.

According to the data, Azercosmos OJSC's income from the export of the services accounted for 88 percent of the total revenue of the operator.

Azercosmos OJSC rendered services to 19 countries, including France, Malaysia, the UAE, Germany, Georgia, China, Egypt, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, UK, Russia, Cyprus, South Africa, Ukraine, Tanzania, Lebanon, Tajikistan, Poland and Iran.

Azercosmos OJSC operates geostationary satellite Azerspace-1 and low-altitude satellite Azersky. The company plans to launch the second Azerspace-2 satellite in September 2018.
