Azerbaijan Innovation Export Consortium opens representative office in Uzbekistan

Azerbaijan Innovation Export Consortium (AZINNEX) has opened a representative office in Uzbekistan, a source in the country's IT market told Trend.

The source told Trend that, Elkhan Guliyev was appointed the official representative of AZINNEX in Uzbekistan, whose powers include negotiations on the implementation of previously agreed projects with representatives of the business circles of the two countries.

The high potential of the market and the prospects for business development, particularly in terms of promoting high-tech solutions and services of local IT companies have become important criteria for choosing this market, the source said earlier.

More than 84 enterprises with Azerbaijani capital, including 71 joint ventures and 11 enterprises with 100% Azerbaijani capital, operate in Uzbekistan at the present time. The automation of the work of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of Kyrgyzstan is one of the high-tech projects that was implemented in this country by Azerbaijani specialists. The project of introduction of an automated education management system in the Ministry of higher and secondary special education of Uzbekistan can also be noted among the work planned for the future.

The plans of AZINNEX for 2018 include the intensification of work towards the export of local software solutions to foreign markets, as previously reported.

The AZINNEX consortium was established in the middle of 2017 in conjunction with 10 IT companies of Azerbaijan. The consortium includes such companies as SINAM, Ultra Technologies, B.EST Solutions, Neuron, Idrak, Cybernet, BestComp Group, Goldenpay, R.I.S.K. and "Innovations Center".
