Over January-July 2006, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan has put 124974 numbers into exploitation. 84972 out of the gross numbers were reported at the share of the Production Unit Baki Telefon Rabitasi and the remaining 40002 numbers Aztelekom PU, a government source told Trend.
The investments for this period exceeded AZN 17 mln, which were directed toward reconstruction of communication objects and construction of new telephone lines in the capital and regions of Azerbaijan.
In 2005, the same ministry has put 164 185 telephone numbers into exploitation, which are more by 42 611 numbers as comprised to the indicators of 2004.
