The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan invested AZN 2771,6 th into the telecommunication sphere in January 2007, Trend reports quoting the Ministry. In January the Production Unit Aztelekom invested AZN 636,5 th, Production Unit Baki Telefon Rabitasi вЂ" AZN 944,6 th, Production Unit Teleradio - 150,6 th., Azerpocht State Enterprise вЂ" AZN 1005,6 th.
The Ministry forecasts the investments in 2007 in amount of AZN 29 mln. In 2006 the amount of the investments allocated by the State communication institutions was nearly AZN 42 mln. In 2006 the gross amount of the finances allocated for the telecommunications reached AZN 211,6 mln, which forms 3,5% of gross investments directed towards the economy of the country.
