HP Concludes Project for Azerbaijani State Fund for Social Security

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / Rufat Hajialibayov, the head of the representative of the Hewlett Packard (HP) company in Azerbaijan, stated on 20 July that the company completed the implementation of the draft for the Azerbaijani State Fund for Social Security.

According to Hajialibayov, the Fund will present the concluded draft within a month.

Hajialibayov considers the implementation of the draft successful. The consolidated IT united the centre of processing data and client terminals was formed on the base of the Fund, including realization of transferring a new pension system. Servers for HP Integrity rx7620 and disk array HP Storage Works EVA4000 were formed for the Centre for processing data. The work of seventy-five departments of the Fund, situated in the country, will be supported by ninety-five servers of HP ProLiant DL380 and 1,600 clients of HP t5125. As a result, the State Fund received scalable IT structure and consolidated calculated Centre.

HP's operations in former Soviet Union countries began in 1968. The company is represented in all CIS countries and in Mongolia. Presently, four representatives are functioning in Kiev, Baku, Almata, and Astana.

The official representative of HP in the CIS countries are responsible for companies operating in Kazakhstan, the Ukraine, and Azerbaijan, alongside cooperating with large corporative clients. НР develops sale and service support through partner networks.

HP opened its branch in Azerbaijan in July 2004.
