Kazakhstan's FlyArystan launching new flights on domestic routes

Kazakhstan’s only lowcoster – FlyArystan – is launching flights on eight new domestic routes starting Aug. 28, 2020, Trend reports with reference to the company.

The new routes are: Karaganda-Shymkent-Karaganda, Karaganda-Atyrau-Karaganda, Karaganda-Aktau-Karaganda, Atyrau-Kostanay-Atyrau, Atyrau-Kyzylorda-Atyrau, Shymkent-Kostanay-Shymkent, Shymkent-Ust-Kamenogorsk-Shymkent, and Shymkent-Pavlodar-Shymkent.

Low-cost airline FlyArystan is a division of Air Astana, based in Almaty and awarded the rating of 4-star airline for the quality of service, as well as the award "Best Airline in Central Asia and India" according to Skytrax World Airline Awards.

By 2022, it is planned to increase the FlyArystan fleet to at least 15 aircraft. FlyArystan was recognized as “The Best Deal of the Year” according to the Kazakhstan Growth Forum 2019. In the 23rd aviation competition Wings of Russia 2019, Kazakhstan’s low-cost carrier was awarded as “Event of the Year. CIS"

In June 2020, Kazakhstan announced a decision to resume international flights to a number of countries following coronavirus-related restrictions of implementing flights. The flights are being gradually resumed to Turkey, China, South Korea, Thailand and Japan from June 20, 2020.

The list was then further expanded and included Hungary, India, Germany, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Egypt, Ukraine, Poland, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

The first two cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Kazakhstan among those who arrived in Almaty city from Germany on March 13, 2020.
