Multimillion contracts go from Kazakhstan to foreign companies, Director-General of KazTransGas Daniyar Berlibayev said. He believes one of the reasons is non-production of some necessary equipment and goods in Kazakhstan.

For example, construction of Beyneu-Bozoy-Shimkent gas pipeline needs thick pipes, wide diameter, which could stand high gas pressure.

"However exactly this kind of pipes are not produced in Kazakhstan. Cost of such pipes amounts to 49 percent of total price of the gas pipeline construction project, which is around $1.5 billion," Berlibayev said.

KazMunaiGas Company is instructed to consider certain ways of Kazakhstan's involvement in large projects, particularly in construction of Beyneu-Bozoy-Samsonovka gas pipeline.

The pipeline construction started in December 2010. The length of pipeline is about 1,500 km, will pass through the territory of Mangystau, Aktubinsk, Kyzylorda and South-Kazakh regions.
