Kazakh Ambassador to Turkey and Albania Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Albanian President Bamir Topi in Istanbul, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.

During the meeting, the Albanian president conveyed his best wishes to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and invited him to pay an official visit to Albania.

The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

"Bamir Topi confirmed Albania's willingness to develop Kazakh-Albanian relations on a broad range of bilateral and international issues," the Foreign Ministry said.

Stressing the prospects for economic cooperation, Topi urged the business circles of Kazakhstan to invest in their country's economy, including in energy and tourism.

"Albania has a favorable position in Europe with access to the Adriatic Sea and may become a popular tourist destination in the future," he said.
