BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. The production of petroleum products amounted to 12.7 million tons in 2021, Kazakhstani Minister of Energy Bulat Aqchulaqov stated on the Ministry Collegium, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

“The production of gasoline - 4.8 million tons, diesel fuel - 4.9 million tons, fuel oil - 2.4 million tons and jet fuel – 586,000 tons amount to the main types of oil products. The petroleum production plan for 2022 is 13.3 million tons,” said Aqchulaqov.

The marginal prices for the retail sale of petroleum products on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and order of the Ministry of Energy, for a period of 180 days, set at the following level:

1) AI-92 gasoline - 182 tenge (36 cents) per liter;

2) AI-93 gasoline - 182 tenge (36 cents) per liter;

3) AI-95 gasoline - 215 tenge (42 cents)per liter;

4) diesel fuel (summer, off-season) - 230-260 tenge (45-51 cents) per liter.

At the same time, within the framework of the president’s message “New Kazakhstan: Path of Renewal and Modernization”, work will be carried out to provide farmers with the necessary volume of fuel and lubricants at affordable prices, the minister added.

Meanwhile, 400,000 tons of diesel fuel at a price of 212,000 tenge ($418.8) per ton (42 cents per liter) have already been allocated to agricultural producers for the timely and stable conduct of spring fieldwork. The forecast price for agricultural producers will be lower than retail prices by an average of 15-30 percent depending on the region, taking into account delivery and storage, Aqchulaqov said.
