BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 29. Kazakhstan is working on the issue of opening a third railway crossing with China, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin, speaking at the plenary session of the XVIII Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia on November 28.
According to him, in order to further increase the transit cargo flow, the issue of opening a third railway crossing between Kazakhstan and China in the Bakhty in the Urzhar district of the Abai region with the further construction of a Bakhty-Ayagoz new railway line and a border crossing terminal is being worked out.
Zhumangarin noted that 5 international railways and 8 automobile transit corridors have been formed and are functioning in Kazakhstan. Of these, 3 railway and 6 automobile corridors are synchronized with the corridors passing through the territory of the Russian Federation.
