BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. Kazakhstan is expected to produce around 2 million barrels per day of petroleum and other liquids production on average, Trend reports, citing the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The agency’s forecast means the increase of an average daily output by 170,000 tons per day, compared to 2022.

"The output in the 1Q23 and 4Q23 will be the highest in 2023. The Central Asian country is expected to produce 2.04 and 2.03 million barrels daily in these two timeframes," EIA said.

Production volume will decrease slightly in 2Q23 and 3Q23 to 1.96 million barrels per day, EIA said.

Kazakhstan is expected to further boost its output to 2.04 million barrels per day on average in 2024. The production level is expected to remain steady throughout the year, with a slight dip to 2 million barrels per day in 3Q23, and a subsequent increase to an average output of 2.08 million barrels daily in 4Q24.

The US Energy Information Administration is a principal agency of the U.S. Federal Statistical System responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment. EIA is part of the US Department of Energy.
