Kazakhstan stable development to promote its competitiveness: Kazakhstan's Environmental Protection Minister

(Kazinform) - In order to achieve balance of economic, social and ecological aspects of Kazakhstans development it is necessary to realize a number of tasks in the sphere of stable development.This problem has been considered today at the sitting of international roundtable Medico-ecological and socio-demographic aspects of Kazakhstans transit to stable development with participation of Environmental Protection Minister N. Iskakov.

According to the Minister, the first task is to raise index of efficiency of resources management to 37 per cent by 2012, 43 per cent by 2018, etc. Providing such level of effectiveness of resources management, Kazakhstans GDP will be doubled three times for the period from 2006 till 2024, reports Trend.

The second task is to increase life expectancy up to 68 years by 2012, 70 by 2018 and 73 by 2024. On the basis of realization of this objective population of the state should make up to 18 million by 2024, Mr. Iskakov noted.

Then it is important to raise index of ecological stability for 10 per cent by 2012, 15 per cent by 2018 and 25 per cent by 2024.

And the fourth purpose represents provision of Kazakhstans leadership in implementation of stable domestic and foreign policy.

The head of the Ministry stressed that for achievement of these objectives the state should realize innovative policy on stable territorial development in accordance with ecosystem principle.
