Hearing devices were granted to hearing-impaired children in Bishkek, Trend reports referring to kabar.kg.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar to the Kyrgyz Republic Abdullah Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Director of Qatar Charity in the Kyrgyz Republic Osama Turabi, State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanybek Adiyev and Specialist of Preschool School and Out-of-School Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Saltanat Omurkanova attend the ceremony for handing over the devices.
Qatar Charity, along with the Ambassador and the Ministry of Social Development distributed 50 hearing aids for hearing-impaired children last month.
Considering the acute shortage and financial insufficiency of the special school, another 40 devices were provided on Wednesday on the initiative of the Ambassador and the Director of Qatar Charity. The aid was distributed according to the lists that include those whose devices needed to be replaced.
As of today, 330 children with disabilities are enrolled at the educational institution, some of whom have begun to hear for the first time thanks to the new devices.
Children were presented with Swiss-made Bernafon digital hearing aid. Today it is widely used by leading medical clinics around the world.
