BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev received US Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, Trend reports via the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the importance of fostering practical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the US, which has a positive impact on the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan, was emphasized. In this regard, the possibilities of increasing investment cooperation were considered.
The parties discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-American relations, as well as the regional and global agenda. Separately, the challenges of reducing the negative impact of international sanctions on Kyrgyzstan's economy, as well as the necessity to increase support for border security, were discussed.
Moreover, Kyrgyzstan and US confirmed their mutual intention to continue a constructive dialogue on a wide range of bilateral cooperation.
