BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. The 5th meeting of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Korean Commission for economic cooperation was held in Seoul on October 6, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
During the meeting under the chairmanship of Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev, topical issues of economic cooperation, as well as further prospects for interaction between the two countries were discussed.
Amangeldiev underlined that in 2022 the Trade house of Kyrgyzstan in Seoul, the Center for the Korean International Program for the development of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan were established.
"We have joined the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization, moreover, the first Kyrgyz-Korean business forum in the field of light industry was held in Bishkek on September 26," the Minister of Economy and Commerce said.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea from January through July 2022 increased by 1.9 times over the same period in 2021 - up to $65.2 million.
