Tajikistan and China discussed cooperation in energy sphere during the meeting of the head of Tajikistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Sharif Said with the representatives of China Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited (DEC Ltd.), led by the deputy general director of the company, Kua Yuotzhi, Avesta.Tj reported referring to CCI statement.
During the meeting the sides discussed the current state and the prospects of bilateral cooperation in energy sphere. They also expressed their satisfaction with the successful development of Tajik-Chinese relations in political, economic, energy, transport and other spheres.
Sharif Said stressed that the energy cooperation between Tajikistan and China has strategic value, a long-term nature and is based on market principles.
"We believe that our countries will achieve new results, both in the traditional energy resources and alternative energy sources", Kua Yuotzhi said.
CCI's head also stressed that China is Tajikistan's reliable partner in the energy, infrastructure construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads, bridges, tunnels, telecommunications, agriculture, health, education and tourism.
He also expressed the CCI's readiness to expand cooperation with Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited.
Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited is one of the largest enterprises in China engaging in the manufacturing of power generators and the contracts of power station projects.
