BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. The volume of cargo transportation from January through July 2022 in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan has been published, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
During this period, 58.7 million tons of cargo were transported in the region. The growth rate of cargo transportation compared to the same period last year was 2.1 percent.
The cargo turnover of the enterprises of the Turkmenawtoulaglary Agency (Turkmen automobile service) amounted to 41.5 million ton-kilometers. The agency's growth rate compared to the first 7 months of 2021 was 21.5 percent.
Large investments are being made in the formation of modern transport infrastructure in Turkmenistan, which contributes both to the comprehensive development of the regions and to the economic prosperity of the country as a whole.
