BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. Representatives of the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency (Turkmen State Service of Maritime and River Transportation) and the Indian Anipra Impex LTD company held an online meeting during which they discussed issues of establishing cooperation in improving the capabilities of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

The representative of the company spoke about the work carried out by Anipra Impex in different parts of the world and the region, and also noted the possibility of implementing transit cargo projects in the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.

Information was provided on potential categories of cargo that can be transported in transit through Turkmenistan from Russia to India, and from Western European countries to Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, the parties discussed the possibilities of infrastructure, terminals and transit potential of the Turkmen port.

Noting the possibility of providing consulting services on cargo projects for the Turkmenbashi seaport, the representative of the company noted that if the parties sign a corresponding agreement, it is possible to start additional transit traffic.

At the end of the meeting, the sides stressed that efforts will be made to further develop international cooperation in the field of transport and logistics between Turkmenistan and India.
