Aral Sea Operating Company (Aral Sea) has announced a tender to build two wells in the Uzbek part of the Aral Sea.
According to the announcement published by local media on Tuesday, the tender was announced to construct one exploration well on the Umid structure and one exploration well at the Western Aral structure.
The bids are accepted until November 11. The results will be summarized by late 2011.
The company said that the wells are being constructed within the minimal program of further exploration work. The amount of financing worth $ 17 million was approved by the government in August this year.
