President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has got acquainted with the presentation of projects on social and economic development of the Tashkent province.
It was planned to implement 662 projects in the region in 2018, including bicycle production in Kuyichirchik district. The joint enterprise, organized together with Chinese investors, is expected to attract $80 million of investment. Export of products is expected to be $260 million.
"Cycling improves health. It would be nice if our people did not travel only by car, but use bicycles as well. Riding positively affects the heart and prolongs life. Therefore, it is necessary to speed up the launch of this enterprise," the president said.
The construction of the enterprise will begin in October 2018.
The president gave instructions to responsible persons on projects related to industry, agriculture, transport and tourism.
