Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke to Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah over phone, the official website of Iranian state television IribNews reported.
During the conversation, Ahmadinejad said that Hezbollah must be ready to confront Israel, if it attacks.
"If Israel commits another attack on Lebanon, it is necessary to stop these attempts once and for all. The Iranian people support people of Lebanon and other countries in the region in this matter," he said.
Nasrallah said in response that the Lebanese people are not afraid of possible attacks by Israel. Its plans will fail.
