Ten parliamentarians were involved in the recent embezzlement case, arianews.com quoted Mahmoud Ahmadibihash, member of the Iranian Parliament representing the conservative party, on Friday.

He urged the Iranian judiciary system to name these persons to dispel doubts about other MPs.

Ahmadibihash said involvement of these people in the financial scandal is beyond any question.

"Iran's Prosecutor General Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei confirmed this fact," he said. "Some of them have been already questioned."

He also accused Alaeddin Boroudjerdi, Chairman of Iran's parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy, of telling lies when denying his and his son's linking to the corruption case.

Recently, Iran has arrested 35 suspects regarding a $2.8 billion fraud scandal, which is described as Iran's biggest case of embezzlement ever.

According to the documents, Iranian Bank Saderat, Bank Melli, Tat Bank, the Central Bank of Iran and the Economy Ministry were involved in the financial scandal.

Following the embezzlement, a number of Iran's top financial officials, including the heads of Bank Saderat, Melli and Tourism resigned.

In late October, Member of the the parliamentary committee, Javad Karimi Qoddousi, has claimed that Boroujerdi had made recommendations to support the fraudulent group and this issue is sufficient for him to resign his position.

Boroujerdi has rejected the accusation.
