Iran's seafood exports grew 20 per cent from 2010 to 2011.
This year there are plans to export more than 800 tons of seafood the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.
Most of Iran's seafood exports are made up of shrimp and warm water fish and are sent to Central Asia and Iraq said Gholam Reza Razeghi who heads Iran's Fisheries Organisation.
Last year, Iran produced 725,000 tons of seafood; in 2010 its exports totalled 600 tons.
