Special Envoy of Russian President in the Middle East Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov called upcoming meeting between Iran and Group 5+1 to be held in Geneva promising, IRNA reported.
IRNA quoted Ria Novosti reporting that Bogdanov said here on Friday Russia expects constructive results from the meeting on October 15-16, 2013.
He added this meeting would be different from the previous ones, adding that all participants in the meeting will have a more constructive approach.
Russian Foreign Ministry, in a statement on Tuesday, also expressed hope for a fruitful negotiation.
It said that head of Iran's delegation will be Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif, but delegations from G 5+1 will have former combinations.
It is expected that high morale of the G 5+1 and Iran has prepared an opportunity for taking first clear steps toward settlement of Iran's nuclear issue, said the statement.
