Iranian FM: Sanctions had no effect on Iran’s approach in the talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif, in an exclusive interview with BBC's Middle East editor Jeremi Bowen, said that banking and oil sanctions had no effects on Tehran's approach in the negotiations, IRNA reported.

Zarif underlined that severe banking and oil sanctions against Iran are not the reason of change in Iran's approach, adding that the result of sanctions is 19,000 centrifuges as well as some difficulties for Iranians.

He said that West cannot claim victory with such results.

Zarif continued that reason of changing Iran's approach in the talks is changing the government in Iran and taking responsibility by a group that negotiated with global powers with the same approach.
