Tehran is hosting the second international conference on Syria.

The conference dubbed 'Friends of Syria' opened in Iranian capital on Sunday.

According to Iranian MP, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, heads of foreign policy commissions from 25 countries will attend the event.

"Tehran is one of the biggest victims of terrorism," he said on May 31.

"The gathering is meant to help end the conflict in Syria and establish peace and security there," he explained.

The head of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission further blamed Washington and its allies for supporting terrorists in Syria.

"Terrorism has now become a serious and potential threat to many countries, especially in Europe and America," he said.

Boroujerdi added that the U.S. strategies in Syria have all failed.
