Establishing a special financial mechanism for air transport between Iran and the EU is important, Hadi Bahadori, member of the Iranian parliament's development committee, told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to Bahadori, creating a special financial mechanism for air transport will eliminate some of the problems of Iran's air transport industry.
Commenting on some of the problems that the Iranian air transport industry faces in terms of supplies of spare parts, the Iranian MP said that this financial mechanism would solve many of the said problems.
Bahadori added that countries such as the UK, Germany and France are participating in the launch of the financial mechanism.
"France is one of the waymarks in the production of spare parts for aircrafts, and can play an active role in helping Iran reach its goals," he said.
The PM stressed the importance of using all the solutions during a period of economic war.
After the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) January 2016, Iran signed a contract with Airbus, Boeing and ATR companies for the purchase of 200 aircrafts. So far, 8 ATRs and 3 Airbus aircraft have been provided for Iran's airline companies.
