( IRNA ) - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani, in a meeting with the Iranian cultural attaches in foreign countries on Tuesday, called on them to declare at the country of their mission that Iran is not a warmonger but rather seeks peaceful coexistence.
He added that any military measure against Iran will be ineffective and will make the Iranian people more determined to continue seeking their nuclear right.
Larijani referred to negotiation as the best way to solve the country's nuclear issue and declared readiness for such talks.
Underlining that the West sows seed of discord among Islamic states and Muslims, given its failure in the country's nuclear issue, he said, "Discords among Shiites and Sunnis are the outcome of the enemies political will, but the vigilance of Muslims will thwart such a threat."
Expounding on the strategies of Iran's national security, the UNSC secretary urged the cultural attaches to identify opportunities and challenges, given their high importance.
"Cultural attaches should communicate with people and officials of the country, in which they are residing, and brief them on the facts about Iran.
The sixth meeting (March 3-7) of Iranian cultural attaches in foreign countries has been arranged by Organization of Culture and Islamic Communication (OCIC).
