Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept.27

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran's oil sales have been increased by 120,000 barrels per day in the first half of the current year compared to the year before.

Iran's head of oil sales Mohsen Ghamsari said in the first half of the past year, Iran sold 880,000-900,000 bpd, while the figure is currently about one million barrels per day, Iran's Ghatreh website reported on September 27.

He added that the country's oil output will be potentially increased by 500,000-600,000 barrels per day if the sanctions against the country's oil sector are removed.

Ghamsari earlier said oil prices will likely fall to $90 a barrel by the end of the winter.

The remarks come after members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries said in recent days they expect oil prices to rebound after it fell below $100 a barrel earlier this month.

"If the oil market only looks at supply and demand, the oil price will further decline in the global market," Ghamsari added.
