Tehran, Iran, Oct. 25
By Mehdi Sepahvand – Trend:
Iran’s Islamic Republic Railways (RAI) says it is exploring venues to lure Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) members into investment.
RAI CEO Mohsen Pourseyyed Aghaei said the company is moving forward fast to carry out projects that have been pending the removal of sanctions, RAI public relations told Trend October 25.
“Foreign investment is naturally prioritized in that it will improve the system to the international level,” he said.
The company recently signed contracts with Austrian and Swiss companies for food catering service at the Iranian railways.
He added that Iran is currently in talks with companies from Italy and Germany, noting that RAI is talking to get more finance with refund guarantee.
Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are members to the CIS.
