Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on Oct. 31

Gold coin was traded at 13,120,000 rials (about $324.1 according to the currency rate in free market) in Iranian market on Tuesday, indicating a drop by 0.18 percent compared to Monday.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,234,430 rials (about $30.4), 0.43 percent down compared to the preceding day.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 47,639 rials in the free market, losing 0.11 percent. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 40,659 rials.

The US dollar gained 0.05 percent to post 40,474 rials in the free market. The CBI put the official rate for the greenback at 34,954 rials.
