Iranian insurer sees huge surge in dividends

An Iranian insurance firm says that its dividends have experienced a considerable surge over the first half of the current fiscal year (starting March 20).

Following measures on making the financial statement of the company transparent, the firm found out that its dividends saw an increase of 30 percent in the mentioned reports, Ibena (Iranian banks and economy news agency) reported.

According to the report, the firm’s capital in the mentioned period reached 2.500 trillion rials (according to official rate $77 million).

The company realized 99 rials ($ 0.003) dividend per share on the country’s over-the-counter market, Fara bourse, over the mentioned period.

The firm has also identified about 1.2 trillion rials ($373.5 million) in accumulated losses.
