Iran eases insurance regulation to facilitate employment

Iranian government has decided to ease insurance payments for those entrepreneurs who hire university graduates.

Under the government approval, this group of employers who hire graduates with bachelor’s degree (or higher) will be exempt from paying their portion of health insurance premiums for two years.

The country’s unemployment rate among the university graduates reached 20 percent over the last fiscal year, 1.5 percent up compared to the preceding year.

According to the official statistics, there are about 3.2 million unemployed in the country out of which 1.3 million are university graduates.
