Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has expressed hope that the country would finalize the talks on efforts to join the Eurasian Customs Union within one month.
Addressing the Russian-Iranian Business Forum in Tehran, he added that the talks in this regard have recently advanced and hopefully a result will be obtained within the next month.
The Iranian speaker said that the development would remove the customs obstacles in trade with Iran.
Speaker of Russia's State Duma (lower house of parliament) Vyacheslav Volodin arrived in Tehran for an official visit on Monday, during which he met Ali Larijani and participated in the opening of a plenary meeting of the Russian-Iranian Business Forum.
The current volume of trade turnover between Iran and Russia stands at $2.2 billion.
