Statistical Center of Iran says the price index, which amounted to 100 this Iranian year (started March 21), reached 144.1 on Sept. 22-Oct. 22, and increased 7.1 percent compared to previous month, Mehr News Agency reported.
The figure was 25.7 percent on Aug. 22-Sept. 22.
Compared to the same period last year, the change in this index was 32.8 percent.
The 12-month inflation reached 13.4 percent by October 22, 2018. This figure was 11.3 percent until last month and currently shows a 2.1 percent increase.
The price index increased by 8.6 percent for food, beverages and tobacco products and by 6.4 percent for non-food products and services compared to the previous month.
