More than 1.16 million Iranian and foreign citizens have crossed Iran’s Astara customs border checkpoint in the ten months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), said Director of Iran’s Astara customs border checkpoint Jalal Diyansaei, Trend reports via Mehr news agency.
He said that the Astara customs border checkpoint is considered to be one of the most important and most crowded border crossings between Iran and Azerbaijan.
He noted that mostly Azerbaijani citizens crossed the border checkpoint.
“Citizens of Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Iraq, Ukraine, Belarus and other countries also used the border checkpoint,” he said.
