The next president should not oppose Iran's supreme leader, the presidential candidate Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel said on Sunday.

Opposing the leader is against the Constitution. The law says that the supreme leader lays out the country's policies and the government should carry them out, the ISNA News Agency quoted Haddad-Adel as saying.

The country's foes have been trying hard to create economic and political crisis in the country,

Haddad-Adel has on Saturday once again said that he will not step aside in favor of other candidates.

Given my extensive experience and good relations with many managers, I can form a cabinet with efficient and revolutionary individuals on board. That explains why I decided to sign up in the first place and why I'm planning to stay in the race, the Fars News Agency reported.

The presidential candidate said it is wrong to undermine the achievements made over the past 34 years just to win more votes, adding that he will not make promises that he cannot deliver.

Haddad-Adel is a member of the principlist Coalition of Three, along with
Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and the senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ali Akbar Velayati.

Iran will hold the 11th presidential election on June 14, 2013.

The voters will select the successor of the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections for the third term according to the country's constitutional laws.

The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election. The Guardian Council has vetted the candidates for qualifications.
