Tender announced for water user association support in Azerbaijan
The Azerbaijani Irrigation and Water Management Company has announced a tender for the construction of office buildings for water users' associations as part of the Water Users Associations Development Support Project (WUAP), International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (part of the WB), the statement said.
According to the information the tender will be conducted in three lots:
- Lot 1: construction of 13 office buildings for water users' associations in the Balakan, Gakh, Zagatala, Ismayilli and Gabala regions;
- Lot 2: Construction of 58 office buildings in the Saatli and Sabirabad regions;
- Lot 3: construction of 40 office buildings in the Imishli and Beylagan regions.
The fee for participation in the tender for each lot is 200 manat. A bank guarantee for the first lot is 8000 manat, on the second lot - 35,000 manat, and on the third lot - 24,000 manat.
Bids and bank guarantees are accepted until 11:00 October 9, 2012.

The Azerbaijani government and the World Bank signed a loan agreement to allocate $80 million for the WUAP project implementation in October 2011.
Around $76.8 million of the total loan amount has been delivered through the International Development Association (IDA) and $3.2 million - the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). The government share in the project is $34.3 million. Total cost of the project is $114.3 million.
The project is expected to boost the production of 760,000 small farms in 27 regions of Azerbaijan which will contribute to the rehabilitation of irrigation and drainage systems and the creation of a specific potential with the support of the World Bank.
Turkmenistan announces tender for construction of highway
State concern Turkmenavtoyollary announces the international tender for design and construction of the road on the following lots:

MTS announces open interest poll in Turkmenistan

Tender for water treatment equipment supply in six Azerbaijani cities announced
The Agency for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Azerbaijan has announced an open tender for the supply and installation of equipment for waste water treatment in six cities of Azerbaijan, a report said.
The tender will be conducted on three lots:
Lot 1: supply and installation of equipment for waste water treatment in the cities of Agstafa and Tovuz (450 and 426 kilometres from Baku, respectively);
Lot 2: supply and installation of equipment for waste water treatment in the cities of Zagatala and Oguz (411 and 290 kilometres from Baku, respectively);
-Lot 3: supply and installation of equipment for waste water treatment in the cities of Goranboy and Goygol (327 and 370 kilometres from Baku, respectively).
For local business in accordance with the instructions, privileges will be given. During evaluation of the proposals the quality and commissioning time of the facilities whose reconstruction was carried out in the past three years within the tenders for the construction of water supply and sewage systems in Azerbaijan will be taken into account.

Khazar consortium extends tender in Turkmenistan
The tender committee of the Khazar consortium, consisting of Turkmenneft and the Mitro International Limited, which operates in accordance with the terms of the production sharing agreement in respect of Khazar contract area (Eastern Cheleken field), extends the tender for the execution of operations on intensification of oil recovery of wells by using hydraulic jet perforating technology in the Khazar contract area (Eastern Cheleken field, the test well No. 39, a lot).

AIMROC announces tender for supply of cement for Chovdar ore-bearing area

Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry chooses regional coordinator within big project
The State Agency for Agricultural Lending at the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry receives the documents of candidates for the position of a regional coordinator within the integrated rural development, the statement said.
According to the information, a candidate for this position will ensure the effective execution of the integrated rural development project.
The project is being implemented through a loan from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
A regional center, located in Yevlakh, covers Yevlakh, Agdash, Sheki and Oguz regions.

IDB allocated $65.6 million, IFAD - $19.7 million, and the rest amount will be financed by the government to implement the project. The total project cost is $ 102.8 million.
Uzbek company announces tenders for gas equipment supply
Uzbekneftegaz has announced two separate international tenders to supply expansion turbines for two gas fields with a total starting price of $64.13 million.
According to the terms, the winner must develop, manufacture and delivery 11 expansion turbines on a magnetic cushion to modernize the complex gas preparation units at two fields.
The winner of the first tender must supply nine expansion turbines with a capacity of 5 million cubic meters of gas per day for the Shurtan field with a starting price of $52.47 million.
The bids will be accepted until October 14. The tender will be summed up in late 2012.
The purchase is financed at Uzbekneftegaz's own expense. It was reported that the Ukrainian Turbogaz won the tender in May 2011 to supply 18 sets of expansion turbines for six gas fields in Kashkadarya area with a cost of $120 million. Uzbekneftegaz's capacity allows ensuring natural gas production at 70 billion cubic meters and liquid hydrocarbons to the amount of 8 million tons a year.
