Oil market
The average price of North American crude was $61.41 per barrel on Dec. 25-29 that is $2.2 more than the previous week. The spot price for US crude oil WTI (Cushing), produced in the US state of Texas, was $59.88 per barrel on Dec. 25-29, $2.01 more than the previous week. The highest price of WTI (Cushing) reached $60.46 per barrel, while the lowest price was $59.55 per barrel during the period. The density of WTI is 40 degrees API, its sulfur content is 0.4-0.5 percent. This oil is mainly used to produce gasoline and therefore the demand for it is high, particularly in the US and China.
The average price of US crude oil WTS (Midland) was $60.06 per barrel on Dec. 25-29, $2.45 more than the previous week.
The highest price of WTS (Midland) was $60.56 per barrel, while its lowest price was $59.85 per barrel during the period. The density of WTS is at least 30 degrees API, its sulfur content is 2.5 percent.
The average price of LLS light oil was $64.99 per barrel on Dec. 25-29, $2.13 more than the previous week. The highest price of LLS light oil was $65.51 per barrel, while the lowest price was $64.63 per barrel during the period. The density of LLS is 35.6 degrees API, its sulfur content is 0.37 percent.
The average price of American oil Mars was $61.83 per barrel on Dec. 25-29, $2.3 more than the previous week. The highest price of American oil Mars reached $62.26 per barrel, while the lowest price was $61.55 per barrel during the period. The density of Mars is 28.9 degrees API, its sulfur content is 2.05 percent.
The average price of North American oil Bakken was $60.28 per barrel on Dec. 25-29, $2.1 more than the previous week. The highest price of North American oil Bakken reached $60.86 per barrel, while the lowest price was $59.95 per barrel during the period. The density of Bakken is 39-40.9 degrees API, its sulfur content is 0.17-0.2 percent.

Last week, the price of one ounce of gold increased by 36.7817 manats or by 1.698 percent. Accordingly, the average price of one ounce of gold stood at 2183.35342 manats.
