(PanARMENIAN.Net) - Armenia has not exported energy to Georgia since May 2006 over the rise in prices for Russian gas, head of the department of tariff policy at the commission for regulation of Armenian public policies Armen Arshakyan said, reports Trend.

In his words, as result of double rise in prices for Russian gas in April 2006 (from $56 to $110 for 1 thousand cubic meters) the energy processed at the Hrazdan and Yerevan heat power plants cannot compete with Georgia's inner tariffs. The expert was earlier exercised by the International Energy Corporation and ArmRosgazprom, reports newsarmenia.ru.
