French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner will arrive in Georgia on Wednesday for a two-day visit, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania has said, RIA Novosti reported.

"A discussion on relevant issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as of regional and multilateral cooperation, is to take place during his [Kouchner's] visit," Jalagania told reporters in Tbilisi.

According to the French Embassy in Georgia, Kouchner is expected to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the French minister will meet with Georgian opposition leaders, diplomats and public activists.

Later on Thursday, Kouchner is to hold talks with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze. After the talks, the two ministers will hold a joint news conference.

Kouchner is also expected to visit camps for displaced people in the eastern Georgian town of Koda and meet with the country's minister for refugees, Koba Subeliani, the head of European Union Observers Mission in Georgia, Hansjoerg Haber, and Peter Nicolaus, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees's representative in Georgia.

German Foreign Ministry spokesman Andreas Peschke earlier said that Kouchner would travel to Kyrgyzstan together with his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle on Friday.

According to Peschke, the two ministers are expected to visit the southern Kyrgyz city of Osh, which has been badly hit by interethnic clashes in mid-June. Kouchner and Westerwelle are also planning to meet with Roza Otunbayeva, who was approved in a recent referendum as the country's president for a transitional period until 2012, in the capital, Bishkek.
