Georgian Defense Minister visited military marine base of U.S. Armed Forces Quantico in the U.S. Dmitri Shashkin met there with Georgian students undertaking a course in Quantico, the Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend.
Georgian students take a course in the school of headquarters command and expeditionary combat.
The minister discussed the situation in Afghanistan with the U.S. Marines and Georgian students. He noted the importance of the participation of the Georgian military in NATO ISAF.
American colleagues noted the dedication and skills of the Georgian military.
The Minister also met with Colonel of U.S. Marine Eric Smith, who jed the Georgian units in Afghanistan.
