"Democratic Movement - United Georgia" declares a three-month moratorium on criticism of the new government, said leader of party Nino Burjanadze at press conference on Friday.
According to her, "it is logical that the new government has been given time out to examine the existing problems in the country and mobilize their decision."
However, she noted that the program of the new government fully complies with the requirements and expectations of the people, and it is 90 percent identical to the program and the visions of the democratic movement.
"Based on this, is very important the implementation of this program for us and its support is politically acceptable. At the parliamentary elections on October 1 the majority of the population voted for a change of values, the basis of the implementation of these changes - the restoration of justice in the country. Confident that the new government will need to remind that the release of political prisoners and the return to the country of political refugees must be very quickly. However quickly to begin the audit unlawful decisions of the Government of the National Movement, which resulted that thousands of our fellow citizens had moral and material damage. Crucial involvement accountable for those officials against whom reasonable suspicion of involvement in the wrongful acts "- Burjanadze said.
Getting back to the moratorium, the party leader said that a moratorium does not mean that the party will not fix their position and offer constructive suggestions.
Nino Burjanadze also said that after a while it will be a meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili, and the relationship of the Democratic Movement and the government will go in a completely different mode.
