On Dec. 18 the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili participated in the 5th Young Organizations Forum of Georgia and addressed its participants.

"For me it was the discovery to know that there are 160 youth organizations in Georgia. I declare 2014 the Year of Support for Youth. I believe that the government should concentrate on active involvement of young people in the country's daily life, whether it is sports or other areas," the PM said.

Georgian PM went on to add that, the youth is the resource on which a country's democratic development should be based.

The forum held at the ExpoGeorgia exhibition center was organized by the country's Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and the Academy for Peace and Development. Its goal is to intensify the dialogue between different groups of young people and their participation in public life.
