By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

The workshop entitled "Scenarios for the South Caucasus and Central Asia" will be held as part of the Davos Economic Forum in Tbilisi on May 2.

The idea of holding this event occurred on the basis of a joint initiative of Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and Managing Director of the World Economic Forum Philipp Rösler, the Georgian foreign ministry told Trend on May 2.

The Georgian National Investment Agency is a co-organizer of the workshop.

Up to 300 representatives of the three Caucasian countries and the five Central Asian countries from government, scientific and business circles will attend the event.

The workshop aims to reveal ideas that can facilitate the analysis and forecasting of the economic processes in Eurasia. The participants will also discuss the possible impact of global economic factors on the economic development trends in the Eurasian region.

Panjikidze will open the workshop. She will inform the audience about Georgia's prospects of economic relations among the regional countries.
