The government of Georgia directed two million lari to install the solar panels in the settlements with no access to electricity, Trend reports via apsny.ge.
Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze disclosed the information during the briefing which took place before the cabinet meeting.
The relevant draft is already prepared.
“The settlements in question are those that possess a unique tourism potential, but the development of which is delayed to the fact that settlement do not have access to electricity,” the report said.
The prime minister commended the United States Agency for International Development for the support in the project realization.
