At a plenary session of the Georgian parliament, the deputies were forced to declare a technical break; correspondents of several television channels reported that the cause was “the unbearable, unpleasant smell,” Trend reports citing Georgian media outlets.

What exactly caused the pungent smell in the hall is unknown. There were only representatives of the ruling party "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia". All other members of parliament boycotted the meeting.

Ambulance service brigade has arrived at parliament after when several people felt sick because of the strong smell in the parliament session's hall.

One of the members of parliament staff has been taken to the hospital.

As a member of parliament majority Irakli Kobakhidze said that two opposition deputies Lela Keburia and Irma Nadirashvili entered the hall and poured unidentified substance there.

As reported, the plenary session of the parliament went on a break, and representatives of the law enforcement bodies are working at the site.
