Twenty-five Iraqis were killed, 20 others wounded Thursday in a car accident on the Damascus-Homs high way, state-run SANA news agency reported.
Damen Azzam, chief of Damascus Countryside Police was cited by SANA as saying the initial estimates showed that a coach carrying 45 Iraqis collided with two trucks, and the driver lost control.
The Director of Damascus Countryside Health Hasan Baja Jee said 20 ambulance cars had taken the casualties to Douma and Harasta national hospitals, Xinhua reported.
