At least 55 killed, 372 wounded in Damascus powerful blasts: ministry

The death toll of the blasts that rocked the Syrian capital Damascus earlier on Thursday has climbed to 55, according to the Interior Ministry, Xinhua reported.

Meanwhile, 372 were wounded, the ministry said.

Sources told Xinhua earlier that two suicide bombers riding booby-trapped vehicles detonated themselves before the Palestine Branch of a public intelligence compound in the capital Damascus.
